Coal mine Michal19.30, 21.00, 22.30 From steam to electricityVisit to an old boiler room with a brief explanation of the coal mine history and demonstration of startup of a 1893 steam engine, which spins a 1913 dynamo. Generated electrical energy lights up a bulb (for security reasons only guided tours at set times). Then we will move to a chain cloakroom which resounds with music by a rock band Ostravar. Instead of the concert we have prepared a supporting program „Black, the color of coal“ for parents with children. 19.30, 21.00, 22.30 Black, the color of coalArt and technical workshops for parents with children. The program is thematically linked to the authentic industrial environment and its atmosphere. As an artistic means will be used elements and materials characteristic for such industrial environment. The motto of the program is (and a little hint for parents) Sweatpants are trendy!!! The program is conducted in cooperation between Coal mine Michal and Educational center of the Heritage institute in Ostrava. The duration is about 60 minutes.
